Brothers In Technology
The Brothers In Technology (BIT) Program by Urban TEC is dedicated to empowering young urban males by providing education, exposure, and hands-on experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). BIT focuses on bridging the gap in tech education and career opportunities, particularly for underrepresented youth, by fostering mentorship, skill development, and real-world industry connections.

Sisters in STEM
Sisters In STEAM, a flagship program of Urban TEC, was founded in 2016 to bridge the digital literacy gap for K-12 Black girls. Through this initiative, we provide hands-on opportunities for girls to explore technology in meaningful ways, fostering a passion for STEAM fields. Our programs not only address educational needs but also promote social development and boost self-esteem, empowering young Black girls to see themselves as future innovators and leaders in STEAM.
STEAM Labs
Urban TEC STEAM Labs introduce elementary school students to the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) through engaging, hands-on activities designed to build knowledge, skills, and confidence. Our interactive approach encourages curiosity, creativity, and a passion for learning, helping students see the real-world applications of STEAM subjects.

Digital Skills Training
Urban TEC, in partnership with Urban Training Systems, LLC, is offering Digital Skills Training through the Cisco Net Academy platform. Sponsored by the University of Central Missouri, this program provides participants with the opportunity to earn a globally recognized digital workforce credential—a key stepping stone toward high-paying tech careers.
